What size flyer should I print?
For the US, 8.5 × 11 in (letter) is the most common flyer and 5.5 × 8.5 in (half-page) is cheaper to hand out. Outside North America, A4 (210 × 297 mm) and A5 (148 × 210 mm) are standard, and DL (99 × 210 mm) fits envelopes and racks.

Tips for a flyer people read
- One clear headline that says what's happening or what's on offer.
- A short line of detail, a date or deadline, and one call to action (call, visit, scan).
- Your address, phone and website or a QR code at the bottom.
- High-contrast colours and big type — most people glance for only a few seconds.
Setting up the file
Add 1/8 inch (about 3 mm) of bleed if colours or photos touch the edge, keep text inside the safe area, and export a PDF. CatalogProFlow templates are set up this way for every size above.
Questions
- What is the cheapest flyer size to print?
- Smaller sizes such as half-page (5.5 × 8.5 in) or A5 usually cost less per piece because more fit on each printed sheet.
- Is A4 the same as letter size?
- No. A4 is 210 × 297 mm (8.27 × 11.69 in); US letter is 8.5 × 11 in. They're close, so a design usually needs only small adjustments.
- Can I resize a flyer design to another size?
- Yes. In CatalogProFlow, use Resize to copy your design to another size, then check the layout.
