How preschool and pre-K teachers use this flashcards

Use them for warm-ups, partner practice, games and revision. Short, frequent practice with cards tends to stick better than one long session. Preschool and pre-K teachers working on letters, colours, shapes and routines can change every word to match the unit.

Use pictures alongside every word; most children can't read yet. Shuffle often and keep a 'not yet' pile for cards that need more practice.

What to put on it

  • One term or question per card
  • The answer on the back
  • A picture where it helps

Sizes and printing

This template comes in one size: Flashcards (cut-out sheet) (Print double-sided, flip on long edge). Print double-sided on card stock, flipping on the long edge, then cut along the guides.
